Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Matrix Providers is hiring a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families in Bethesda, MD (Walter Reed National Military Medical Center)

  • Employment Status: Full-Time
  • Compensation: $48.00- 50.98/hr
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
    • 40 hours per week.
    • (No Nights, No Weekends, No on-call)

Requirements: The Licensed Social Worker must have and meet the following:

  • Education: Graduated from an ASWB-accredited Master of Social Work (MSW) program
  • Certification: Must maintain current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers, American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Course, American Red Cross CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) for the Professional Rescuer, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years within the past five (5) years in the independent practice of clinical social work providing mental health counseling, therapy, and intervention services to adults.
  • Licensure: Current unrestricted license Social Worker to work independently without clinical supervision.

Job Summary:

  • Provide individual, group, family, and couples psychotherapy to Active Duty Service Members participating in a Partial Hospital Program (PHP) for acute behavioral health conditions, including PTSD, trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, and substance use disorders.
  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments, biopsychosocial evaluations, suicide risk assessments, crisis intervention, treatment planning, case management, and care coordination in accordance with evidence-based clinical practices.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans while facilitating evidence-based group and individual therapies, including trauma-focused interventions and behavioral health education.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care, provide behavioral health consultation, and ensure continuity of care through appropriate referrals and community resource coordination.
  • Provide clinical services to high-risk military populations, advocating for patients and families while documenting all assessments, treatment, and clinical activities in accordance with Department of Defense, Joint Commission, and Medical Treatment Facility standards.
  • Maintain a professional, patient-centered approach while managing a dynamic caseload, adhering to security and confidentiality requirements, and supporting the mission of a premier military medical treatment facility.
