Nurse Practitioner - Pediatrics

We are hiring for a qualified civilian Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our veterans and their families at Vandenburg AFB, CA

  • Status: Full time (Short-term Coverage Position)
  • Schedule: Assigned to a nine (9) hour shift between the hours of 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM FTE’s will not exceed eight (8) working hours a day, or forty (40) working hours in a week
  • Compensation: This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly $69.00- 85.00/hr

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) must have the following qualifications:

  • Degree: Master's degree in nursing
  • Education: Graduate from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • Certification: Certified in the specialty required by the TO as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), or the recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice as appropriate (for example, National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses, American Nurses Association, National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Specialties)
  • Experience: Minimum 6 months experience within the last 2 years within a Pediatric Setting
  • Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse
  • In addition to Basic Life Support: The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner shall maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association, or the American Red Cross. Certification cards must display the American Heart Association, or the American Red Cross emblem. Web-based classes do not meet the required standards. The Contractor shall not bill, and the Government shall not pay for any time spent in or for certification training.
