Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health Integration Program

Matrix Providers is hiring a Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health Integration Program to join our team of talented professionals providing healthcare services to Military Service Members and their families at the Naval Branch Health Clinic Jacksonville.

  • Employment Status: Full-time
  • Compensation: This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly: $40.85-$ 41.90 per hour
    • Compensation will be based on factors such as experience, requirements related to the Performance Work Statement, labor market conditions and wage determination requirements.
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00 am and 6:30 pm, for an 8.5, or 9 shift (to include an uncompensated 30-to-60-minute meal break, respectively). In no instance will you be required to provide services in excess of 80 hours per two-week period. Specific days, hours, and shift length will be scheduled by the designated government representative.

    Current hours: Mon to Fri 7:30 to 4:00 pm

Requirements:

  • Education: Possess a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, a Graduate Diploma in Nursing, or an advance nursing degree, from an accredited agency such as the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • Certification:
    • Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
    • Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Experience: Possess experience one (1) year of experience within the last four (4) years in the evaluation and treatment of patients who have pain, psychological factors affecting their physical condition, or difficulty coping with medical problems.
  • Licensure: Possess and maintain a current unrestricted license to practice as Registered Nurse in any one (1) of the 50 States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • Provide three (3) letters of recommendation from practicing physicians or peers attesting to the HCW’s clinical skills. Reference letters must include name, title, phone number, date of reference, address and signature of the individual providing reference. Letters of reference must have been written within the preceding two (2) years.

After Hire Requirement - Registered Nurse, BHIP

  • Must successfully complete the Tri Service Behavioral Health Care Facilitator (BHCF) training course within sixty (60) days of performance under the task order.
  • Must meet the passing criteria for BHCF core competencies as determined by a government expert trainer. This demonstration of BHCF core competencies may occur at any time after successful completion of the BHCF training.
  • If the contractor fails to pass the BHCF training or fails to demonstrate BHCF core competency, the contractor shall not maintain employment.

Job Summary:

  • Provide comprehensive Registered Nurse (RN) care, including patient assessments, triage, monitoring, treatments, and execution of physician orders.
  • Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care and respond effectively to routine, acute, and emergency patient situations.
  • Document patient assessments, treatments, observations, and recommendations accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Conduct individual and group patient appointments, including Shared Medical Appointments (SMA) and Drop-In Group Medical Appointments (DIGMA).
  • Educate and support patients and families while promoting patient rights and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team, appropriately delegating and coordinating patient care activities.
  • Participate in performance improvement, peer review, risk management, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Provide clinical guidance, technical assistance, in-service training, and mentorship to staff, corpsmen, and students.
  • Maintain proficiency with electronic health record systems (e.g., MHS GENESIS, CIS) and other required computer applications while responding promptly to official communications.
  • Complete required training, attend meetings, support the Family Advocacy Program, and comply with all command policies, safety standards, and documentation
