We are currently hiring a PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team at NAS - Jacksonville, FL.
- Full-time job position
- Schedule: The Pharmacy Department operates 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. Shifts are generally scheduled flexibly for an 8.5 to a 13-hour period (to include an uncompensated 30 to 60-minute lunch break, depending on shift length). Shifts are typically scheduled between 6 am and 6 pm, Sunday through Saturday. Depending on staffing levels, actual shift times may vary as determined by the Department Head or designated government representative. Weekday, weekend, and holiday services shall be rotated with other Pharmacy Technicians. It is anticipated that the HCWs may provide services every other weekend and no more than five federal holidays. In no instance will an HCW (including the floater) be required to provide services over 80 hours per 2-week period.

The Pharmacy Technician must have and meet the following:
- Education: Graduate from a formal pharmacy technician program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) or a formal pharmacy technician program (i.e., technical, hospital, or retail-based program), or a formal medical services training program in the United States Military.
- Certification: Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), no exceptions.
- Experience: One year of experience as a pharmacy technician after graduation.
